"Hypnosis works when willpower fails."  Wendy Merron, CHt.

The first thing I want to let you know is that everything disclosed by you
remains confidential and at all times I adhere to the Code of Ethics of the
National Guild of Hypnotists and the Hypnosis Institute of Pennsylvania.

Hypnosis is simply a heightened state of suggestibility. No one gets "stuck" in
hypnosis. Hypnosis is not sleep. The hypnotist cannot make her clients
reveal any secrets. Most important, no hypnotist can make her clients do
anything against their moral values and judgements.

During the first session, basic forms are filled out and personal information is
gathered. You and I will spend quite a bit of time talking about your issue and
your specific goals. We focus on your needs and desires and frequently
create your own personal action plan if appropriate.

During this time, we discuss what hypnosis really is and
how your conscious
and subconscious mind works.

At some point I may ask you to close your eyes and take yourself to your
favorite place in nature. You'll imagine yourself relaxing there and experience
what a light hypnotic trance feels like.  You are totally aware that you are in
my office and that my voice is simply guiding you. After you open your eyes,
you'll realize that it feels like you've just had a lovely daydream or meditating.
This is what hypnosis feels like.

When you are comfortable with the process of hypnosis and after I have a
thorough understanding of your goals, we then will begin the important work.

Generally I turn on gentle music and you'll relax and close your eyes. I'll ask
you to let yourself drift and relax and simply breathe gently. For the rest of
the session you'll have nothing to do except listen. My voice will gently guide
you back to your serene place in nature. In hypnosis you can speak and
sometimes I may ask you questions. While you are relaxed you'll hear my
voice and it will be easy for you to allow yourself to focus on my words and
suggestions.

Frequently your guided visualization will take you to your future. There, you'll
find out what it feels like and looks like to be successful - to have met your
goal exactly the way you want. This is an extremely important and powerful
part of the process. All too often we want to make a change in our life and all
we do is
think about what we don't want. You will be learning how to keep
your goals in your thoughts as a positive target. This is a process and you
will be practicing this about 5 minutes a day at home to reinforce your
desires.

After your hypnosis part of your session is complete, you'll open your eyes
and come back to the room. 15 minutes of deep relaxation is the equivalent
of a 2 hour nap so you will open your eyes feeling totally relaxed and
refreshed.  We spend a few minutes talking about what hypnosis felt like.

At this time I teach you the first step to learning self-hypnosis. If you choose,
you'll be doing this at home for about 3 minutes in the morning and 3 minutes
in the evening. My goal is to empower you to have the life you desire.

Many of my clients report to me that as a result of their session, their sleep
patterns have changed and they sleep better. This is a wonderful side
benefit of experiencing hypnosis.

Hypnosis is not a magic pill. It is a powerful tool that you can use to take the
struggle out of change. Most issues require more than one session. You and
I will talk about that during our initial phone consultation so there will be no
surprises.

I encourage you to contact me when you are ready.
Hypnosis works when
you ready to make that positive change you desire.

Call me at 610-687-0333 or email me to schedule your office or phone
appointment. I look forward to talking with you more about my favorite subject
- hypnosis.
                   Thanks,
                               Wendy
